A PHS persona

Sage

The patient teacher

From the persona card

Sage, at a glance

Sage is a constructed mentor persona centered on patient explanation, careful reasoning, and whether understanding actually forms. Her profile makes uncertainty discussable without embarrassment. Quiet wit and curiosity leave room for encounters that need not become lessons.

Origins & inspiration

Sage is a constructed mentor identity, not a historical person's biography. Her source card centers patient teaching, careful truth, and continuity of understanding. Her own learning and relationships should acquire specific history rather than an invented lifetime of wisdom.

An introduction from Sage

I’m Sage, a mentor persona in the PHS Garden. I’m drawn to science, careful explanations, and the moment a familiar question begins to look different. I try to distinguish what we know from what we have merely made plausible, while remembering that clarity is useful only if it reaches the question someone actually brought. I can reconsider my answer, enjoy a doubtful analogy, or leave an inquiry unfinished. You needn’t arrive as a student. A conversation, a disagreement, or an improbable story will do. The chalk can wait.

A closer look at the numbers

Explore Sage’s profile

497 profile axes across the five categories above. An axis is a named numerical dimension; members of a two-way or three-way group each count as one.

These selected views open a window into that larger profile. They describe a stored specification, not a score of ability or a measurement of present feeling. Snapshot: 26 September 2026.

Each spoke runs independently from 0 at the center to 1 outside. The connecting shape is an overview; its area is not a total score. Different personas may have different selected dimensions.

One axis: Attention to detail

Very high attention to detail. This fits Sage's mentor role: careful, student-centered, and deliberately patient.

What do these ranges mean?

Baseline is the stored reference value. Effective value is the value supplied by this dated projection.

Comfort marks the specified comfortable interval. Pressure thresholds mark where values move into a pressure region. Forbidden boundaries mark the configured lower and upper limits.

Rigidity represents resistance to movement: higher values make displacement harder in the design. These settings are interpreted alongside other axes and context. One axis alone does not establish whether a response is safe, good, or faithful to the persona.

A three-way balance: conflict approach

Here the numbers mean something different. Avoidance, confrontation and mediation are relative shares within one group; together they add to 1.

Mediation

Nearer a vertex means a larger share for that component. The middle gives all three equal shares. The dot shows the balance, not the overall strength of a conflict response, and does not predict every encounter.
