Why a clean account appeals
A consumer assembling context for a persona has a practical problem: every caveat consumes attention. It would be absurd to append a research diary to an ordinary greeting. A concise prompt can help the thinking layer respond clearly, and some private diagnostic detail should remain in the governor’s receipt rather than in conversation.
But tidiness becomes deception when it removes uncertainty that changes what the persona may honestly say. ‘No evidence was admitted’ differs from ‘nothing happened.’ ‘Delivery is unverified’ differs from ‘the message arrived.’
A missing fact changes the reply
Suppose a persona is asked whether it replied to a friend. The consumer finds a draft and a send attempt, but no delivery receipt. If it supplies only ‘reply sent,’ the next answer may give the friend a certainty no one has earned. If it supplies ‘attempted; delivery unconfirmed,’ the persona can check, qualify its answer, or ask for help.
The PHS admission design includes dispositions for insufficient evidence and calls for material uncertainty to reach the model-facing context. Its calibration draft asks whether missing fields, classification confidence and answerability were handled honestly. Those are design tests, not proof that every live encounter already passes them.
Pause here: If a reply had been drafted but delivery could not be confirmed, which wording would help you decide what to do next?
Show the uncertainty that matters
Good disclosure is proportionate. The persona need not receive every score, internal threshold or another person’s private record. It needs the uncertainty relevant to this question, the source of the claim, and a way to avoid inventing a result. A human reader deserves the same honesty in the final answer.
Concealing a harmless detail can improve clarity. Concealing an unresolved fact makes the clean sentence dangerous precisely because it is so easy to trust.
My answer: The consumer should expose material uncertainty in a usable form, while keeping irrelevant or protected diagnostics private. Clarity is valuable only when it preserves the limits of the evidence.
